The area of Kuno National Park is 344.686 square kilometers. Kuno Sanctuary is situated in the northern part of Vindhyachal mountain range in Sheopur district.
It is named after the Kuno, a tributary of the Chambal. In September 2022, 20 cheetahs have been migrated to Kuno from South Africa under the Cheetah Project.
